Overview

new zealand travelNovember 11 – November 21, 2010
Experience the best of traditional and contemporary China on this 11 day adventure. From the ancient treasures of Beijing to the modern metropolis of Shanghai, we’ll travel deep into the heart of a nation that boasts 5000 years of civilization and one of the most fascinating cultures on earth.

We will travel to must-see destinations such as the Great Wall of China, the Forbidden City and the Terracotta Warriors. And because this trip is tailored for avid quilters and shoppers, there will be opportunities to learn how silk is made, to visit an embroidery institute that produces some of China’s most exquisite handcrafts, and to spend time in some of China’s best shopping venues.

Travel with McCall's Quilting Editor, Beth Hayes, to China.

Visit iconic places such as the world-famous Great Wall of China and the Forbidden City.
